Dr. Garry Moddel
Our current Neurologist is Dr. Garry Moddel, BSc, MD, FRCPC, member of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario and the Canadian Medical Protective Association. He also has been called upon to perform Catastrophic Assessments.
Dr. Moddel graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Toronto Biological and Medical Sciences in 1972. One year later, he received his MD from University of Toronto Medicine. During that same year, he completed a year of internship (medicine) at Toronto General Hospital, followed by 3 years at University of Toronto Neurology where he was bestowed with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. In 1977, Dr. Moddel completed a fellowship (one year) at the Addiction Research Foundation (Neurology).
Dr. Moddel spent 20 years as Associate in Medicine at the Doctors Hospital followed by a year as Associate in Medicine at Scarborough General Hospital. From 1990 until 2002, Dr. Moddel served as Chairman of Neurology Division of OMA. From 1982 until 1999, he served as Chairman of the Clinical Research and Bioethics Committee at Scarborough General Hospital.
